For Russia:

Possibility to rent a room in the campus dormitory. It has to be specified in the application form.
It is 5 minutes from the university.
It is at 47 euros per month BUT it is double or triple rooms with a shared bathroom and the kitchen shared with all the students living in the building.

One other possibility for housing is colocation as the prices in Moscow are high as a website you can use https://www.cian.ru/ be aware that the web site is in Russian and you need to translate the page with google tools if you can not read Cyrillic.

Also, in the cities most of the shops are opened 24/7 which is really practical.

Public transportation are the more interesting way of travelling around the city.
